Every bird from your outing, cropped the way you like.

BirdFrame is a Mac app for bird photographers. Point it at a whole album or folder and it crops every bird it finds, even the small, far-off and half-hidden ones, in the framing you choose. Your originals stay untouched.

Questions

Does it work with RAW files?

Not directly yet. Use it on your Apple Photos library or on JPEG/HEIC exports, for example after exporting from Lightroom.

Is it a Lightroom plug-in?

No. It's a standalone Mac app. It works great on JPEG exports and on photos in Apple Photos.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Finding and cropping happen on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is generated: every pixel in a crop is yours.

What if there are two birds?

Each bird gets its own crop. You can review them one by one and keep the ones you like.

Can I undo a crop?

Yes. In Photos, choose Revert to Original or use BirdFrame's Restore Originals. Folder exports never change your source files.

Which Macs?

Any Mac running macOS 15 or later. Apple silicon is fastest.
